San Diego Comic Con 20110
// August 2, 2011
The San Diego Comic Con is a convention with a quite long history, ’cause believe it or not, it has been running for more than 40 years now! It started out with an attendance of 145 people in 1970, which has since gone up to more than 130000+ people in 2011, thus reaching the status of the largest convention going on in America today. The 2011 edition took place at the San Diego Convention Center during July 21-24. While at first mainly focusing on comics, fantasy and sci-fi and film, SDCC now includes a lot more pop-culture elements in its show, such as: anime, manga, toys, video games etc. It’s impossible for cosplay to miss at such an event, with hordes of people donning their amazing costumes and having fun during the four days of the event.
Here’s a selection of photos from Comic Vine. Make sure you check out their full gallery with over 1000 photos from the event!
