This year in Singapore, during June 25-26, took place the 10th anniversary edition of Cosfest. We have previously featured Cosfest in Cosplay Gen #02, and from the looks of it, the event is only getting better and better each year! The event is highly centered around cosplay, as such an event name would imply, and not only does it gather a lot of talented cosplayers from Singapore, but from neighbouring countries as well. During the event, cosplayers have the opportunity of meeting and talking, as well as participating in competitions such as the Asia Cosplay Meet Championship or the World Cosplay Summit Malaysia & World Cosplay Summit Singapore.
We start off with a very meaningful video made by our dear friend William ‘Rescend’ Wong, presenting Takahan, the director of Cosfest, as well as cosplayers’ opinion about the event and the cosplay scene:
