Comiket 801

// September 3, 2011

The 80th edition of Comiket took place on August 12-14 at the usual Tokyo Big Sight. You gotta admit, 80 is an impressive number, and this is an event that only started out with a reported number of 600 attendees in 1975 when it first started out.
While Comiket 80 saw a small drop in attendance this year, most likely due to the devastating earthquake that took place in Japan, it still managed to gather an impressive number of 540.000 attendees this summer.

We all know that Comiket is not only the best place to get your doujinshi fix, it’s also a place where a lot of Japanese cosplayers gather to get their photos taken by fans and photographers attending the event. Our friend, Walter Nakandakari, and his wife Loreley went there and took some photos of the event, check them out!
