At the end of June, in the Philippines took place the 10th edition of ToyCon (Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention), a yearly event that attracts toy, comic, manga, anime, movie, game and pop culture ethusiasts all over the country. On May 27-30, at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center took place the 2011 edition of FanimeCon, the largest anime convention in Northern California, in which over 16 000 fans could take part in a wide range of activities (varying from different panels, and artists’ alley, to games, music, and parties). Of course, cosplay could not miss from such an event, so the visitors could enjoy the Cosplay Spectacular Masquerade, or Akihabara-style FaniMaid Cafe, which this year celebrated its fifth birthday!
