Animania Festival Sydney 20118

// October 2, 2011

The second Animania Festival to take place in Sydney this year was held during September 17-18 at the Australian Technology Park. The event features a lot of of amazing guests, especially cosplay guests, but not only, as well as all sorts of other activities such as a maid cafe, a food fair, a gaming zone, karaoke, panels etc. This is also where the final round for the World Cosplay Summit Team Australia competition takes place.

Our friend and collaborator Shiro Ang dropped by at the event and took some photos. Check out some of them:

  1. Amy says:

    *cough* Animania is the worst con in Australia. There is something wrong when the company that owns the rights to 80+% of the anime in the country refuses to have anything to do with it and every other event sees it as a joke.

  2. Bree says:

    Would have been nice to see pictures of the wcs entries here rather than just randoms

  3. Cosplayer says:

    I love cosplays so much! Thanks for writing about it. I’ve been cosplaying for the past three months , it’s awesome.

  4. KRzysztof says:

    I bought this hlmeet when it first appeared on the shelves. I have to tell you it is one of the best I have ever owned in 15 years of riding. Further more due to it being a first run model I had the release tab break after about 5 months. I’ll admit I was a bit rough with it but after calling the company to report the issue they sent me another free of charge. You don’t have many companies standing behind their product like this. If you want a good transformable hlmeet get this one.

  5. from Crafty Crow (via the new to me  lovely blog  annekata), I discovered my newest addiction: 3D paper stars. If laundry does not get done this week, here is

  6. 7. Someone wise once told me to give your children your undivided attention for 15 minutes every hour…*Is this PER kid? Cause I know I’m not great in math or anything, but I think I better get off the ‘puter then, cause I have a busy day ahead!

  7. Yeah… and I’m rather passionate about this because I do love Mass Effect and its story, and the whole romance/sex thing just feels incredibly disjointed. I think some of those characters’ stories could’ve been pretty mindblowing had the relationship evolved as a part of the plot.
